April 7. 2009. We were invited to an Easter party at the Hecker's house. There was pizza, an egg hunt, and egg coloring. What a fun time! This was also the first time my kids have ever colored hard boiled eggs - Yes, that is right! I have never bothered to mess with that.

Kaylee's Spring Soccer ~ April 5, 2009

Kaylee played her first Spring Sunday Soccer game today. It is very low key for their age...30 minutes of practice followed by a 30 minute game. Kaylee loves it and does awesome! She blows by most of the other boys and girls (thank you to her great personal coaches - Clayton and Nicholas). She scored several goals today. We are so very proud of her and just love watching her play.

Nicholas is right in the middle of all the action.

At this point in the game, he was recruited to help out the blue team because one of their players got hurt and they did not have a sub available - so from here on out, he played for the Blue team with his black undershirt on.

Well, we figure the blue team had this strategy all planned out by borrowing Nicholas because the Blue team won! So, usually I will cheer for the Gold, but this time...Way to go Blue!

Go Vipers Go!! April 3, 2009

Way to go Vipers! Clayton's soccer team won their first game of the season...more liked creamed the other team! They were on fire...scoring one after another. Clayton played great and was so excited about the victory.

Kaylee's PK Easter Party and Egg Hunt

Kaylee's preschool class had their Easter party and egg hunt today. They got to bring 6 eggs, and us parents hid them all over, then after the kids enjoyed some yummy party foods, they got their baskets and headed out to hunt. They were able to each find 6 eggs. Kaylee found hers so fast I could barely get any good pictures! She was so excited to have candy because she LOVES candy - wonder where she gets that from?

Nicholas' First Grade Class goes to Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Nicholas' first grade class took a field trip to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on April 1, 2009. I was able to be a chaperon and have fun with them all. We got to go on a scavenger hunt, tour the Alabama woodlands, and have lunch outside. It was a perfect warm sunny day, too!

Kaylee will often come out of her room dressed head to toe all by herself! Such is the case this past Saturday. She had a short sleeve pink shirt under a long sleeve hot pink shirt, jeans under a blue skirt, and her brother's John Deere Camo cowboy boots - ADORABLE! I love when she shows her true colors, she is precious!

Clayton's soccer team, the Vipers, played their second game of the season Saturday after a nice break in the many days of rain. They did great! We did lose 3 to 4, but Clayton says he had fun! The Vipers are in the navy uniforms for this game. Clayton is #20.
