Kaylee got her ears pierced ~ 2/3/09
Kaylee came home from Preschool yesterday and asked if she could get her ears pierced, so I told her we would talk about it tomorrow. Well, this morning she woke up and asked again. I told her after Preschool if she still wanted to I would take her to Claires and let her look at the earrings. After school, she hopped in the car and said "Let's go to Claires!" We went to Claires in the Summit and she picked out her earrings (a small cz diamond looking stud in 14k gold) and she sat int hat big chair and got them pierced! She was so brave about it. After the first one she looked a little frightened but she sucked it up real well and got the next one done. Afterwards, she said it only hurt a little bit. She was all smiles about getting it done!

Day 5 @ Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, 1.21.10
Our last day at Disney, my feet will be happy but my heart will miss all the fun! We went to finish up the Magic Kingdom and to transform the boys into Pirates and Kaylee into a Princess. First, we went all through the Swiss Family Treehouse, next, rode a boat through a Jungle, and then rode the Pirates of the Caribbean - which was so appropriate as the boys were about to become real pirates! Pirates League is where the boys got to pick out their pirate clothes, pirate face, and got their new pirate name. They took a secret pirate oath and became real pirates! Clayton's pirate name is Mark Goldstealer and Nicholas is Edward Edgebellows . They had the best time doing this! Nicholas didn't take off his pirate face for two days and wore the pirate clothes for 3 days. After that, we rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster, went and played on Tom Sawyer's Island, and rode a quick Haunted Mansion ride...although the ride stopped right in the middle and for about a good 5-10 minutes we were stuck in an upright coffin looking car in the dark surrounded by ghosts...not the best place to be stuck with kids who are leery to ride the ride anyway! It all worked out eventually and we finished the ride and headed over to Cinderella's Castle for Kaylee's appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The boys ran off with Papa and Grandma and I watched Kaylee have the time of her little girl life! She got to pick out a princess dress from a wardrobe full of choices - she of course chose Ariel, her favorite. Then she changed into her dress and went to her spot with her assigned fairy godmother where she picked out her new hairstyle, had make up applied, nails painted, and then she was glittered by her godmother and was told all her dreams would come true. That was our full day! After leaving the Kingdom, we went to eat dinner and on our way out a little girl about 2 years old was entranced by Kaylee walking by and followed her out the door. She believed she was a real princess!
Day 4 @ Walt Disney World, Hollywood Studios, 1.20.10
Our fourth day at Disney was spent going to Chef Mickey's breakfast at the Contemporary Resort and then with full bellies...off to Hollywood Studios. Being at Hollywood studios was truly where action takes center stage. I felt like we were walking around a movie set all day. We saw an action packed Indian Jones Stunt show, got to ride in a Star Wars flight simulator, played in the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie set adventure area (everything was so much bigger than we were),and we took a Studio Backlot Tour where we saw an 18 wheeler catch on fire and then an avalanche of water poured down a mountain to put it out (all this was right in front of our faces)! Now for the big roller coaster type rides...Rock 'n' Roller coaster was awesome! Papa, me, Clayton, and Nicholas rode this "road trip" with twists, turns, and loops - Kaylee was not tall enough to ride it so she demanded someone ride the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror with her. I was the only volunteer. So we headed in the haunted hotel alone and got on a service elevator that drops 13 stories at random! Ughh, our stomachs dropped over and over...Kaylee even peed her pants a bit! She said she didn't want to ride that ever again and I said OK! By that time, the park was closed so we headed out for some dinner.
